The health and safety of our customers, employees and communities remains our top priority. We continue to follow the guidance of government and health experts to determine our next steps and are hopeful that our efforts will help us all return to normalcy swiftly and safely.
Although we can’t be there for you in our stores, we’ll continue to offer savings online and work to bring you the products you need. We’re also providing food, trucks and protective equipment for health care heroes and other essential workers on the front lines.
We’ve partnered with some of our local heroes who are working tirelessly to move our country forward during this time of crisis. Now more than ever, we salute them for their continued service and are proud to support them in their

New York City’s private response to hunger and largest food rescue organization has mobilized to feed children, families, and all of our neighbors in need during the COVID-19 pandemic. As unemployment rises, many will experience crippling financial hardship, especially with schools and so many businesses forced to close. To help, we donated 38 cartons of food to City Harvest to be distributed to hungry New Yorkers.
Home to our own distribution centers and dedicated staff, we did our part to brighten the days of the Secaucus townspeople. Over the Easter holiday, we donated 5,000 boxes of candy and goodies, which were handed out to rehab centers, hospitals, senior centers and various other community partners. We provided 1,000 scarves that the town of Secaucus generously delivered to anyone in need of a face covering. In addition, we donated 5,000 units of water to the local hospital, which were distributed to first responders.
New York City Economic Development Corporation is a nonprofit that encourages economic growth and shared prosperity for all New Yorkers. Recently, they worked with retail tech platform, CONSORTIUM, to create a facility for the production of medical face shields. We’ve donated the use of our trucks and drivers to help these groups move plastic sheeting and face shields to medical facilities in need and have repurposed our warehouses to help store shields, ventilators and other personal protective equipment.
We’ve partnered with not-for-profit organization FROM FASHION, WITH LOVE to say thank you to nurses selflessly taking care of their communities during the COVID-19 crisis. We, along with our vendors, are donating fashion items to nurses temporarily housed in New York City hotels so they have clean, comfortable clothing and footwear to change into after long, arduous shifts at the hospital.
